Marisa began working as a chiropractic assistant in 2012 and quickly developed a passion for wellness, holistic health, and natural medicine as well as a deep empathy for those who suffer from chronic pain and/or mental health struggles. She wanted to further her education and develop skills which she could use to really make a difference in people's quality of life and well-being.

This led to her attending Hands on Approach School of Massage in Dallas, TX. She graduated in 2019 and attained her Medical Massage Practitioner Certification in 2021, during which she studied a comprehensive list of medical conditions that can benefit from massage therapy. Since 2021, Marisa has continued to study these conditions and educate herself on effective techniques for them. Though she often utilizes deep tissue techniques, Marisa finds it's just as important to provide a deeply relaxing experience. She encourages open communication in regards to comfort and pressure, as she can provide all levels of pressure, so that she can customize your treatment for the most effective and therapeutic experience possible. Along with therapeutic massage, Marisa also provides prenatal massage, cupping therapy, hot stones, and aromatherapy.

Services

$10 Add-On Therapies

(These therapies will be integrated into your massage and will not add extra time to the session)
  • Dry Cupping: Suction from silicone cups may alleviate pain, provide muscle relaxation, reduce inflammation and increase blood flow. Increased circulation brings fresh blood and oxygen into the area and allows the body to carry any toxins released from the cupping or any muscle work to the lymphatic system for elimination. Cupping also creates space between layers of fascia which can improve flexibility and range of motion.** Cupping should not cause pain. Following the treatment, it's common to see purple markings that resemble bruises. These marks are not bruises and are a result of blood being pulled to the surface. They should not hurt and they should dissipate within 3 to 10 days.
  • Hot Stones: The heat from the stones increases blood flow, relieves pain due to muscle tension, and promotes deep relaxation. Two types of stones available: *Basalt Hot Stones - Made of smooth volcanic rock. Rich in iron. Stones can be used for scraping and deep tissue techniques. *Salt Stones - Made of rough pink Himalayan salt. Rich in magnesium, potassium, and calcium. Rough surface exfoliates the skin and pink Himalayan salt is believed to assist in detoxification.
  • Aromatherapy: Essential oils, which are concentrated liquids extracted from plants, are utilized during your session for various benefits. These include but are not limited to anxiety/stress relief, improved mood, improved circulation, headache relief, muscle soreness relief, and boosted immunity depending on the scents chosen. With this service, you will not only be taking in the scent throughout your session via the nose but it will also be absorbed through the skin via the lotion.
